My best friend, who i go to school with, can go the whole day without seeing me at lunch time/free periods etc and just going out with other people. This lowkey upsets me a lil but js wondering am i being dramatic or would other people feel the same? I’m not going to confront or anything its ntd it’s just messing with my mind mentally 🥲🥲

Why do I feel socially stuck outside of school?
Hey, I could really use some advice. It’s been a while since I’ve hung out with friends, and I’ve noticed that outside of school I struggle a lot with conversation. It feels like there’s just nothing to talk about, even with people I know well.
There’s also a girl I like, and the only time I really have a chance to talk to her is on the school bus. But by the end of the day I’m usually exhausted and already stressed, so I avoid it. I keep overthinking everything, worrying about being awkward, annoying, or getting rejected, and I end up creating worst-case scenarios in my head that stop me from doing anything.
I feel like my own thoughts are what’s holding me back. Has anyone dealt with this before? How do you stop overthinking and take small social steps without burning yourself out?
My cousin made my grandma cry on her death bed so I cut contact with her
My grandma was still lucid at this point but knew she was going to start declining. She really wanted to spend time with my cousin before her brain started deteriorating. My cousin refused to sit with her and rolled her eyes at the notion of even being near my grandma. We don't know why. She has never been able to explain why she hated grandma so much.
Like when normal people hate somebody they can explain it. She could not give any explanation outside of "I don't think she likes me". She couldn't explain why she thought that either. My grandma loved her. When my cousin faked a suicide attempt my grandma spent the entire day sobbing. It ripped her heart out that my cousin would do that to herself. (We all thought the attempt was legitimate until more information came out).
She treated my grandma with such hatred and disdain while she was dying. It was horrible to witness. We tried our best to comfort grandma but through tears all she could say, "I don't understand what I did wrong". Grandma had a horrific & drawn out death. My cousin never told her goodbye. Never told her that she loved her. Nothing.
She made a scene at the funeral. She was screaming "in pain" and everything. "Nooo
Has anyone else gotten into sports at a “older” age and wish you could’ve played them growing up?
I’m 23 and really only got into sports my senior year of high school and at that time it kinda became too late to try out for any teams. When I was young I found sports to be boring and never bothered watching yet randomly all the sudden I got into watching them, idk why it could be the peak of human performance on display, the history and storylines of professional sports, the stats and numbers or a combination.
I’ve joined a beer league ultimate frisbee team recently (closes thing around because I’m overseas in the military) but I kinda wish i grew up playing sports
Do people become boring when they age?
I (M28) have a group of very close friends since high school, most of us quite nerdy. We would play board games and video games, go on hiking trips, hang out randomly for a laugh... The tone was in general quite light-hearted and fun, making puns and laughing at inside jokes. Now most of them are in relationships and "getting settled", we hang out less, and when we do I get the impression that all they talk about is careers, mortgages, investments... I miss the fun days.
What habit genuinely improved your daily life?
I’m trying to make small, realistic improvements in my daily routine rather than big, unsustainable changes.
For you, what’s one small habit that actually made a noticeable difference over time?
Could be related to productivity, mental health, fitness, or even something simple.
Would love to hear different perspectives…

24M | Looking for meaningful conversations & genuine company
Hi I enjoy calm, respectful conversations and being a good listener.
If you’re feeling lonely or just want someone to talk to, feel free to message .
Are you okay pal?
Half of my conversations with colleagues this week have meandered towards the fact that they are feeling really anxious, or really down.
I forced myself to the pub last night, just to talk to someone who isn’t in my family or workplace. Glad I did it, I needed to just be around people.
Are you doing alright? What are you doing to keep your head right?

I feel like I have the opposite interests of everyone around me
What I mean is when it comes to stuff like movies, TV, and video games (but not books, strangely), I'll look either online or listen to coworkers talk and they'll talk about how some piece of media is really bad, but then I'll check it out for myself and think "damn, that was awesome! Idk what everyone hates about it." But then I'll also check out stuff that everyone likes that won a ton of awards or that's all the rage online, and I'll be very underwhelmed. Like it was fine I guess, but nothing to write home about. Because of this it's really hard for me to find like-minded people to nerd out about stuff with. I'd say about 90% of the time, my interests are the opposite of what everyone else's are. Can anyone else relate? People accuse me of being a contrarian on purpose in order to generate controversy or just be like "look at me. I'm so different." But it's not a flex.
