CMV: Jackson Hinkle would make a better US president than any other political figure today

I'm not saying I agree with him on everything. I am saying that his leadership in total, would do better on foreign and domestic policy for the both the US and the world.
First reason I think this, is foreign policy. He can be 100% trusted to not start any more foreign wars. He won't try to invade cuba, venezuela, iran or anywhere. This will mean that no US soldiers or foriegners get killed and we save alot of money too. The only potential downside I can think of, is that he will totally cut US aid to ukraine. However the current US aid to Ukraine is pretty small anyway, and this doesn't outweigh the upsides.
Second reason is domestic policy. I think after ending foreign conflicts he will reinvest in the economy, building highspeed rail and stuff and creating job. Trump said he'd do this, but obviously lied, but I think hinkle actually would. He has more of an ideological commitment to. He's also going to break up and nationalise big monopolies, like water, healthcare ect. Most of the people in his party seem to be pretty pragmatic and smart on economic issues, supporting a true mixed economy.

CMV: Ukraine should just give up the rest of Donetsk and end the war with Russia

I'll be honest, this view rests on the assumption that the fate of the remaining 20% of Donetsk oblast under Ukraine's control is the main point of disagreement in the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. However, based on Trump's statements that the peace deal is "95% done" and that there is one serious point of disagreement together with Zelensky's New Year address saying that a deal is "90% done" and that the main thing stopping it is Putin's insistence to annex all of Donbas, I think this is likely the situation. This is also how the media seems to be presenting it.
Now, here is why I think Ukraine should just give it up and end the war.
1. At this point, the area is more of an economic liability than an asset. Sure, before the war it was an important source of coal and natural gas for Ukraine, but nowadays it is completely bombed/destroyed and will likely take tens (if not hundreds) of billions of dollars in investment to reconstruct it. Russia already occupies most of the coal/natural gas hotspots in Donbass anyways. Any investment made by Ukraine to develop the land again will take decades to pay off, if it will ever pay off.
2. Unlike cities like Kyiv and Lviv, the area

I stopped trying to "fix" my life all at once. 12 months later, everything is different.

In late 2025, I was totally paralyzed by the "idealized" lifestyle that existed on the internet, feeling like the worst failure because I wasn’t getting up at 5 AM every morning or crushing huge goals every single day. For the year 2026, I decided that rather than trying to fix my whole life, the one boring habit that I was going to work on was to make sure the kitchen sink in my apartment was empty every night before bed. Regardless of how exhausted I was, no matter the time of night, I made sure to do that one thing, and it led to the creation of a chain reaction that started to give me better sleep, clear my head, and ultimately gave me the confidence to finally get my life together. There was one rain Tuesday in March when I nearly quit, but then it dawned on me that doing it “halfway” is better than not doing it at all. So, to you, dear reader, while you’re still looking for the huge wave of motivation in your life to try and turn it around, trust me when it says to simply wash the one dish, okay?
