Building an early-stage app for AI-generated image contests — looking for feedback

Hi! I’m building Artigenius, an early-stage app focused on AI-generated image contests.
Creators will be able to submit their AI images, explore others’ work, and compete in creative challenges. I’m sharing it now just to get honest feedback, not to promote a finished product.
Does the idea make sense? Would you use something like this?
Once the app is ready, I’ll come back to launch the first contest, including cash prizes.
If anyone wants to check it out, I can share the link.
Thanks! 🙌

What’s a mistake you made early in business that felt small but cost you way more later?

When I first started, I thought speed was everything and skipped a lot of boring setup stuff. It didn’t break things immediately… but a few months later, it came back to bite me way harder than I expected.
Made me realize most early mistakes don’t hurt right away — they just stack quietly.
Curious what other people ran into.
What’s one early decision you’d do differently if you were starting again?

What are your “niche” goals for this year?

Ive heard people talk about doing a monthly curriculum where you assign yourself specific topics to learn about each month and it can be anything. It sounds fun and creative.
But Im 28, I feel like I want to try things Ive never done before. I want to actually leave the house for something exciting not work, not gym and not a pottery class lol. I dont want to live the same day everyday.

so I realized that for me starting a conversation is not really hard but ending it

so this happened like yesterday again I figuered out that it is kinda a pattern. I don’t really struggle starting conversations. Small talk, casual chats at work, random comments in line, all fine. The problem seems to be knowing how to exit without it feeling weird.
The moment that made it click happened this week. I ran into someone I know casually and we started chatting. It was a nice conversation, nothing awkward or forced. But after a few minutes, it felt done in my head. I didn’t have anything else to add, but there wasn’t a natural stopping point either. I stood there nodding, half listening, half trying to think of a polite way out. I even glanced at myprize hoping it would give me an excuse, which felt rude, so I didn’t use it. Eventually the conversation just sort of fizzled and we both said okay yeah anyway and walked off. Afterward I kept replaying it, not because anything bad happened, but because I felt unsure. Was I abrupt. Did I overstay. Should I have wrapped it up sooner. It made me realize how much social energy I spend worrying about the ending of interactions.
I’m curious if this is something people actually practice or if everyone just wings it and hopes for the best. If you’re good at cleanly ending conversations without it feeling forced, how did you figure that out???

.........and it changed everything

I'm feeling really put off by this sub's inundation of AI posts about how something grandpa or dad said "changed everything."
Anyone else noticing this? What's the fucking point?
