CMV: Current admin doesn't care about reelection

\*\*EDIT/TLDR\*\*: Wish I could've worded the title better. By reelection I mean chances for the next Republican candidate. My thesis is they (trump obviously but also the current faction of Republicans who control all the keys to power which includes many potential 2028 candidates) care about is staying in power now, but not beyond 2028. The midterms just need to be not catastrophic. The idea is permanently shifting the political/economic/power landscape is more powerful than one or two elections. There's dirt to do, and until Trump there has not been a president as willing to push the boundaries and have the base to survive it, so the main goal is to take advantage of the window now, not after 2028. There is no long term thinking, no decade long plan to "restore Monroe doctrine" or "economic nationalism". Those are just narratives used to gaslight to make it seem like all of this is done for some eventual greater good (which has a stabilizing effect at least in the short term since it preserves the base and leaves a lot of moderates confused of what to make of the situation). There is no 4-D chess game with China, or at the very least that is nowhere near the main motive. The onl

Am I the only one who finds Microsoft Copilot painfully behind?

I really wanted to like it. It’s built into Windows, it’s free, and Microsoft is throwing everything at AI. But after giving Copilot a solid try for the last few months, I’ve come to a frustrating conclusion: it feels like it’s a good 12 months behind the curve compared to models like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini.
My main gripes:
* **The “Helpfulness” Filter is Aggressive to a Fault:** I ask for a slightly creative or edgy rewrite of an email, and it falls over itself with “I can’t assist with that.” I’m not asking for anything crazy! Other models understand nuance and intent way better.
* **Output is Just… Weaker:** The responses often feel generic, shorter, and lack the depth or insightful “spark” I get elsewhere. It’s like talking to a very cautious, middle-management AI.
* **Context Gets Lost:** I’ll have a back-and-forth and it seems to forget the core of what we’re discussing way faster than its competitors. The conversation threading feels brittle.
* **Integration is Its Only Win:** Sure, pulling data from my PC or summarizing a PDF in Edge is neat, but if the core brain isn’t as capable, the fancy integrations feel like a faster horse and carriage when eve

How can I become more intellectual and knowledgable?

Growing up, I struggled in school. I recieved a bachelors degree in communications because I thought it was the only major and field I could pursue.
At 25, I received a masters in both early childhood and childhood education, and now I’m a teacher. Although, I like my job, I can’t help but feel that I wasted my earlier years believing that I couldn’t do anything and not trying as hard as my peers. I am always comparing my friends who are engineers, doctors, nurses or lawyers. I feel almost ashamed. I’m almost 30 now and I finally love learning new subjects and remaining curious. In despite of missing out, how can I continue to keep learning new things?
Has anyone out there ever felt like this?
