CMV: I disagree with the characterization of chipolte and similar restaurants as "slop bowls"
[Background information here](https://i.imgur.com/o8gyfbj.png)
1. The food in these restaurants is typically healthy, or at least more healthy than comparable fast food
2. The food is usually made from quality, whole ingredients. Rather than preserved ingredients, emulsified ingredients, or heavily processed ingredients
3. When we look at these restaurants, we should compare them to similar fast food chains. They should not be compared to higher tier dining, nor home cooking
4. When compared to similar restaurants, we see that restaurants like chipolte or cava typically serve food of better quality, which should mean that they are not 'slop' for their category

Small IT team (3 people) approaching EDR renewal — ESET vs Arctic Wolf Aurora MDR, thoughts?

Hi everyone,
We’re a small IT team of 3 managing a mid-size company’s endpoints. Our **ESET EDR** license is coming up for renewal, and we’re evaluating whether to stick with ESET or move to **Arctic Wolf Aurora** (MDR + EDR).
Some context:
* Current setup: ESET EDR, all alert triage and response handled internally by our team.
* We don’t have a dedicated SOC; after-hours monitoring is basically impossible.
* Goal: maximize security coverage, reduce risk, but stay within reason on cost and operational overhead.
We’re trying to figure out:
1. For a team this size, how valuable is having **MDR / 24×7 SOC support** like Aurora provides?
2. Are there practical differences in day-to-day operations between **ESET alone vs Aurora**?
3. Any experiences on **alert fatigue, false positives, and actual remediation help** with small IT teams?
Appreciate any honest feedback or lessons learned from folks who’ve had to make a similar decision.

Same old song

So I had my meeting at work...bullet dodged for now but my hunch was right and they put my on a pip to possibly get rid of me in March. That would make them sleep easier cause I'd get my bonus and they wouldn't be sending me off totally broke but who knows. It was definitely eye opening cause like I mentioned I do love my job and actually want to stay here. I was really sad to hear how many people went to HR on me for being trans and existing...like it was so shitty even my child's mother who hates my transition was like fuck that you should get a lawyer 😬 where's that support any other time 😅 but I'm gonna be doing my best and trying and thanking God we dodge this one and get this chance. Love ya guys have a good Friday
