I’m scared of being judged for moving on too fast

I was married for four years. I was never truly happy. He was a mama’s boy, had a gambling addiction, and was manipulative and emotionally abusive. For most of the marriage, I felt small, anxious, and constantly second guessing myself.
A month after we separated, I met someone unexpectedly. He’s five years younger than me, but emotionally mature, communicates clearly and makes me feel seen and respected. For the first time in years, I feel calm instead of walking on eggshells. I laugh more. I feel like myself again. Yes, the chemistry is great, but more importantly, the emotional safety is something I never had before. Almost no one knows about this relationship, just a couple of close friends and my therapist. My family lives across the country, and I haven’t told them yet. I’m terrified of being judged for moving on too fast, even though emotionally, my marriage ended long before the separation did.
Part of me feels guilty, like I’m doing something wrong. Another part of me feels relieved, like I’m finally choosing myself after years of surviving instead of living. I don’t know if healing is supposed to look lonely, or if it’s okay that healing, for me, looks like connection. I d

CMV: Dissolve NATO and create a new European defense alliance

Or, rather, create a new European defense alliance and THEN dissolve NATO, if Trump doesn’t do it first.
With how unstable and unpredictable the US has shown itself to be, European nations cannot afford to rely on America when it comes to their safety. It was never really a good idea to begin with to have a defense alliance with a bunch of smaller countries essentially outsourcing their military to one big country on the other side of the Atlantic simply because it’s cheaper than building their own. With the creation of the EU, it also makes no sense. It only did because the Cold War was a battle between Western capitalism and Soviet socialism, and Western European countries were firmly in the former block. That ideological difference is all but irrelevant today, as Russia is not a communist regime but an oligarchic kleptocracy, while the US is in many respects just as authoritarian.
We see how Trump is leveraging NATO to get what he wants, such as Greenland. We see how European leaders are being sheepish and deferential despite it being an open secret they all despise him. This is not only undignified but unnecessary, given that Trump has no qualms about abandoning Europe if it se

I have been worrying about AI making us obsolete but I realized something that gave me hope

I have been going down the rabbit hole lately reading everything I can about Artificial Super Intelligence. Honestly it started to terrify me. We are building minds that will eventually be a billion times faster and more knowledgeable than us. It made me ask the question a lot of us are probably thinking. If the machine can do everything better than us like writing and coding and reasoning then what is the point of us? Do we even matter anymore?
I am a researcher at heart so I tried to look at this logically. And I hit a realization that actually gave me a lot of hope. I wanted to share it here in case anyone else is feeling that existential dread.
We are confusing intelligence with consciousness.
We have built a silicon brain that can process information at the speed of light. It is an optimization engine. It can simulate a symphony or model a cure for disease or generate a poem. But there is zero evidence that it experiences any of it.
Think of it this way. We have built the ultimate race car. It is faster than any human could ever run. It is stronger. It is perfect. But a car has no desire to drive itself. It feels no thrill of speed. It has no fear of crashing. It has no destin

do people remember like REALLY embarrassing stuff you’ve done/posted

basically the title, do people remember dumb things you’ve posted or said?
and i’m not talking about saying something dumb or having a bad opinion, but for example i used to post substances a couple years ago while still in highschool, a lot of people i knew saw those posts
and while ive changed a lot that embarrassment never leaves me and there’s certain days i think about it more often then i want to.

Am I just over thinking?

I, 23 F, my BF M, 23. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 2 years now. We go to the same college...we met in our first year after being partners for our badminton team, I've always liked him then. he was dating someone else in our second year and he was with her during our second fight for another badminton match and it bothers me a lot seeing him date her that it distracted me to the point I broke an ankle during the match.
They didn't actually work out after a while and I jumped right into him when I had the chance to confess and we clicked right away due to same interest and how he feels comfortable around me.
But I still feel like he wouldn't choose me if he's given the chance to choose since I'm the one who made the first move... although he does reassure me constantly that he do love me...
During our swimming lesson back in 2nd year..I still think of that one time he ran to get Ice for the first girl he dated after she hit her head...he seemed very rush and frantic...
While...for me...
He couldn't even get to me when I got into a vehicular accident ..(already one year into dating when this happened...) he didn't even look worried when I was able to meet him again. Just to

I feel like I don't have any real interests. Is this normal?

I’ve been seeing a lot of content online lately saying that everyone should have an "output-based" hobby (like playing an instrument, knitting, writing, etc.).
It makes me realize that I don’t really have a lasting passion for creating things. I love playing video games, but I honestly feel a bit embarrassed calling that a "hobby" because it feels like I'm just consuming content.
Does anyone else feel this way? Or is it okay to just enjoy things without making something?

Are you a sock, sock, shoe, shoe person or a sock, shoe, sock, shoe person?

Sometimes I think about how our daily habits differentiate us from one another. This came up randomly today, and I realized people actually do this differently.
I’ve always followed one order without thinking much about it.
I am a sock, sock, shoe, shoe person.
Now I’m curious what most people do and why. What's your routine?
