CMV: National Ranked Choice Voting should replace the Electoral College & within congressional races
As my post implies ranked choice voting should be implemented in the United States in place of the electoral college, as well as for congressional races.
It promotes third-parties, as people are more likely to vote for someone, when they know their vote isn't wasted, and ensures they don't end up promoting the "greater of two evils". It gives independents a voice, and gets rid of the electoral college, that gives people of certain states more power than others, while *actually* ensuring that the candidate with *majority* support gets elected. I
In the Senate and the House, it will lead to third parties gaining support and some seats, ultimately leading to multi-party coalitions while ensuring local representation.

If we’re being honest, the signal is clear, the strategy less so and that tension shows up immediately
If we’re being honest, the intention might be solid, the rollout less so That’s what changes the context. Feels like an opening move, not an ending. That’s just my read on it.
this feels like a half-step, not a full move and that’s where people will push back Hard to say where this lands long term.
the intention might be solid, the rollout less so which is why this is getting picked apart
I totally agree

Reaction: Dont tell your wife shes like her mother
From a practical angle, the main issue seems to be how this is handled which explains why reactions are split Could be wrong, but that’s how it comes across.
Bluntly speaking, the framing does a lot of heavy lifting here and that’s why this won’t land the same for everyone That’s what makes this interesting. Feels like there’s more coming here.
From the outside, this reads stronger on paper than in practice Curious how this plays out. Could be wrong, but that’s how it comes across.
Reaction: Every year it becomes worse
If we’re being honest, the follow-through is what will decide this and that’s where people will push back That part stands out.
Bluntly speaking, this feels rushed rather than thought through which is why the comments look the way they do That’s the impression it gives me.
