Is telling myself nothing matters in the end and no one cares bad when trying to build confidence?
I'm a 24 year old male, and getting older, I have reflections here and there about my life, and all the times I didn't do this or that, or "man x amount of time passed, if only I did hiking, or went to that event, or didn't cancel y"
As I get older they're starting to mount, and it's making me feel very uneasy now, what once was "I got time" is now, "holy shit what have I been doing it's been 4 years?" And slowly realizing I really don't have time and I live a very safe life.
Now I've started to develope a mindset where I tell myself I shouldn't care, I'm a spec of sand in a desert, if I die now in about a generation or 2 I'll be no different than someone young pointing at a picture of me asking who I was and having the same "damn that sucks" with no real emotion behind it because they didn't really know me, just a picture on the wall, no different than how we feel about people in history or people in your family tree that your great grandma talks about.
That in the end, none of it matters, no one cares, and I have one shot at life and I want to live it how I see fit and not for other people.
Is this wrong? Or an unhealthy way of viewing myself? The "no one cares" isn't necessarily
