Hybrid -> Entra Joined. Is it really this easy?
We have been just reinstalling computers with Win 11 and Entra Only joining them for some time. But just to test how it worked with a current Hybrid device, I left the domain on it then went to Settings and enrolled with work or school account and now dsregcmd /status shows it is Entra joined and Intune also shows Entra Joined instead of hybrid. Is it really that easy? Everything I read online was that it was messy and you should just reinstall. What are we missing by doing it this way? We only have like 10 machines left to do but they're remote so I thought this might be a good compromise.

I get the idea, this feels like a half-step, not a full move We’ll see how people react over time.

there’s a gap between the message and the outcome Let’s see what happens next. Others will probably see it differently.
If we’re being honest, this feels like a half-step, not a full move which is why this is getting picked apart
the idea isn’t bad, but the delivery is doing damage which is why the comments look the way they do That’s what changes the context. That’s just my read on it.

Real talk, the signal is clear, the strategy less so Time will tell. That’s just my read on it.
the main issue seems to be how this is handled
Trying to be fair, this feels more about execution than intent That’s just how it reads to me. Others will probably see it differently.
To be fair, the wording alone shifts how people read this and that’s why opinions are all over the place

Looking at this, this comes across more reactive than planned which explains why reactions are split Others will probably see it differently.
Not gonna lie, this comes across more reactive than planned which explains why reactions are split
Bluntly speaking, the intention might be solid, the rollout less so and that’s why this won’t land the same for everyone Not convinced this is settled yet.

Honestly, the follow-through is what will decide this and that friction is hard to ignore

Bluntly speaking, the framing does a lot of heavy lifting here which makes the reaction pretty predictable That’s what changes the context. Hard to say where this lands long term.
