CMV: If MAGA succeeds with deportations, they will be forced to become more socialist.
Immigration is generally good for America. It is quite literally the bedrock of the country. Since 1607, immigrants have brought a variety of ideas and practices to this continent (followed by indigenous genocide).
Immigrants continue to make the US better, even today. They fill a variety of high profile roles: doctors, researchers, business leader, professors. They also fill low profile roles: factory workers, food delivery workers, call center staff, field hands, etc.
Before I get started: I don’t want to hear the Kelly Osbourne “who is going to clean your toilet” bit. It’s so out of touch with reality. Additionally, criminal deportations WITH A PROPER INVESTIGATION AND TRIAL are necessary. Innocent until proven guilty.
With the recent influx of deportations and intent to continue that trend, a lot of Americans are going to get uncomfortable.
Bringing manufacturing back to the US means more leopard will work in factories on American soil. Deporting immigrants willing to fill factory jobs means that American citizens will be forced to fill that role in lieu of total automation. Deporting immigrants also means that there will be less food delivery drivers willing to work in the poo
