Boss wants us to implement Google credential manager instead of a PW manager (Vaultwarden)
Hello,
We are using Entra ID, and majority of users use chrome for browsing. I brought up the idea of hosting a PW manager and was quickly denied because someone said it was cheaper and easier and just as safe to use google credential manager.
I'd create a google cloud identity tenant and give our users gmail accounts to have their PW managers..
From a security standpoint, what is my best argument to say why a dedicated PW manager is more secure for both comliance and security ? Or is it not a big deal ?

Real talk, the follow-through is what will decide this That’s the impression it gives me.
Without overthinking it, the logic is there, but the execution is uneven so the response doesn’t surprise me At least from my perspective.
Not gonna lie, there’s a lot said here but not much clarified which is why this is getting picked apart Hard to say where this lands long term. Others will probably see it differently.

From my side, this feels more about execution than intent which explains why reactions are split Others will probably see it differently.
Without overthinking it, the idea isn’t bad, but the delivery is doing damage and that friction is hard to ignore That’s the key detail here. That’s just my read on it.
I get the idea, there’s a gap between the message and the outcome

If we’re being honest, this feels like a half-step, not a full move and that’s where the disagreement starts Hard to say where this lands long term.
At this point, the timing matters more than people admit and that’s where the disagreement starts
From where I sit, this feels rushed rather than thought through and that tension shows up immediately This probably isn’t the last word on it.
