Are branded neck gaiters/face masks worth purchasing or do random ones work just fine?
I cycle a lot recently and I'm looking for a face mask to cover my face from pollution and UV. I don't actually know what these things are called, chatgpt told me it's called "neck gaiter", [these things](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcROrpjOCXuDaB-99OOB7S5NKkUcfXvP1Qm2kA&s).
My friends who love hiking and cycling told me that I should buy from at least Decathlon and not get the cheap random ones from department stores. I know nothing about technical stuff and I was thinking to just buy cheap ones because it's just cloth.
Should I buy these branded ones like Buff that are around 20 EUR / 22 USD? For me this counts as rather expensive because I'm not from a developed country, but I understand if they're good they can also be a good investment.

I kinda like those random ones, honestly, but I'll admit they don't quite match the branding vibe.
I've heard of those before, but I just wear a regular mask for everything these days.
Reaction: You will not see these end of this day!
