AIO for leaving my own birthday dinner after what my sister announced in front of everyone?

I’m 21F, and this happened a few days ago. I’m still not sure how to feel about it.
My family decided to do a small birthday dinner for me at home. Nothing fancy, just close relatives. I didn’t even want a big celebration, but my mom insisted.
For some context, my older sister (26F) has always been the “golden child.” She’s louder, more confident, and my parents usually side with her. I’ve learned to stay quiet over the years because pushing back usually makes things worse.
Everything was going fine until we sat down to eat. Halfway through dinner, my sister stood up and said she had “exciting news” and hoped everyone would be happy for her.
She then announced that she’s moving back home and that I would be moving out soon so she could have my room.
I thought she was joking. She wasn’t.
My parents immediately started talking about logistics, like it was already decided. No one asked me anything. My sister even laughed and said, “You’re an adult now, you’ll figure it out.”
I asked when this was discussed. My mom said they assumed I wouldn’t mind because I’m young and “more flexible.” My dad said this wasn’t the time to argue and told me not to ruin the mood.
I felt completely blinds

Honestly, this comes across more reactive than planned That’s the key detail here. Not convinced this is settled yet. That’s the impression it gives me.

this feels like a half-step, not a full move and that’s the part people are stuck on That’s what changes the context. Interested to see the follow-up. That’s the impression it gives me.

I get the idea, this solves one problem while creating another which is why the comments look the way they do That’s what changes the context. Hard to say where this lands long term.

If we’re being honest, the idea isn’t bad, but the delivery is doing damage and that tension shows up immediately That’s what changes the context.
